Do not abandon your children out of fear of poverty. We will provide for them and for you. Killing them is certainly a great wrong. 31 (viii) Do not even approach fornication for it is an outrageous act, and an evil way. 32 And do not kill any one whom Allah has forbidden, except for a just cause, and whoever is slain unjustly, We have indeed given to his heir authority, so let him not exceed the just limits in slaying; surely he is aided. 33 And do not approach the property of the orphan save in the fairest manner, until he is of age. And fulfil the covenant; surely the covenant shall be questioned of. 34 While weighing, use proper measurements in the exchange of your property. This is fair and will be better in the end. 35 Do not follow what you do not know; for the ear and the eye and the heart shall all be called to account. 36 And walk not on earth with haughty self-conceit: for, verily, thou canst never rend the earth asunder, nor canst thou ever grow as tall as the mountains! 37 All of that -- the wickedness of it is hateful in the sight of thy Lord has revealed to thee: 38 This is some of the wisdom your Lord has revealed to you. So do not take another god apart from God, or you will be cast into Hell, reproved, ostracised. 39 What! Has your Lord then favoured you with sons and Himself adopted females from among the angels? What you say is monstrous. 40
