The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

I swear by the heaven and the comer by night; 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 It is the piercing star - 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 So let man consider of what he is created: 5 he has been created out of a seminal fluid 6 Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 [man] will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the heaven with its recurring cycle of rain, 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 it is not a jest. 14 As for them, they are but plotting a scheme, 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17

God the Almighty always says the truth.
