Nay, by the Moon 32 And the night when it departs, 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 it is one of the greatest trials, 35 A warning for people -- 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 save those who shall have attained to righteousness: 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 They will answer: "We were not among those who prayed; 43 and we did not feed the needy. 44 "And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allah hated) with vain talkers. 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 Until the certainty (of death) had come upon us. 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 as though they were terrified asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 Let him who will take heed: 55 But they will not remember except as God wills: He is worthy to be feared, and He is worthy of forgiving 56
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
