Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 Illustrious scribes 11 who know of all that you do. 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
