The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
The Calamity! 1 What is the startling calamity? 2 Would that you knew what the crash is! 3 The day on which men shall be as scattered moths, 4 And the mountains will be like carded wool, 5 Then as for him whose balances are heavy, 6 He will live a pleasant life. 7 But he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) light,- 8 His refuge will be an abyss. 9 And what could make thee conceive what that [abyss] will be? 10 Raging Fire. 11
