Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Alif Lam Mim 1 Revelation of this Book, whereof there is no doubt, is from the Lord of the Worlds. 2 Or do they say he has fabricated it? In fact, it is the truth from your Lord so that you may warn the people to whom no admonisher was sent before you. They may haply come to guidance. 3 It is Allah who created the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them in six days; then He established Himself above the Throne. You have not besides Him any protector or any intercessor; so will you not be reminded? 4 He directeth the ordinance from the heaven unto the earth; then it ascendeth unto Him in a Day, whereof the measure is a thousand years of that ye reckon. 5 This is the Knower of the unseen and the seen, the Mighty the Merciful, 6 He Who has made everything which He has created most good: He began the creation of man with (nothing more than) clay, 7 then He made his offspring from a clot of weak water (semen). 8 and then He forms him in accordance with what he is meant to be, and breathes into him of His spirit: and [thus, O men,] He endows you with hearing, and sight, and feelings as well as minds: [yet] how seldom are you grateful! 9 They say, "When we are lost in the earth, how can we then be recreated?" Indeed, they deny they will ever meet their Lord. 10 ۞ Say: "The angel of death appointed over you will take away your soul, then you will be sent back to your Lord." 11
