The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 when they were seated around it 6 witnessing what they were doing. 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 Whose kingdom spreads over the heavens and the earth. God is witness over everything. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph. 11 Verily, (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe. 12 Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Honorable Owner of the Throne, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
