Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
