Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 Generous and recording, 11 They know what you do. 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 to burn therein. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
