It is He who sends down rain from the sky; from it is drink and from it is foliage in which you pasture [animals]. 10 With this water He produces for you crops, and olives, and dates, and grapes, and all kinds of fruit; indeed in this is a sign for people who ponder. 11 He has subjected for you the night and the day and the sun and the moon and the stars have also been made subservient by His command. Surely there are Signs in this for those who use their reason. 12 And there are also Signs for those who take heed in the numerous things of various colours that He has created for you on earth. 13 It is He Who has made the sea subject, that ye may eat thereof flesh that is fresh and tender, and that ye may extract therefrom ornaments to wear; and thou seest the ships therein that plough the waves, that ye may seek (thus) of the bounty of Allah and that ye may be grateful. 14 And He has set up on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you; and rivers and roads; that ye may guide yourselves; 15 And landmarks (signposts, etc. during the day) and by the stars (during the night), they (mankind) guide themselves. 16 Is then He, Who creates as one who creates not? Will you not then remember? 17 If you count God's blessing, you will never number it; surely God is All-forgiving, All-compassionate. 18 God knows what you hide and disclose. 19 But those whom you invoke, other than Allah do not create anything they are themselves created. 20 they are dead, not living. They do not even know when they will be resurrected. 21
