Observest thou not those who wrangle concerning the revelations of Allah? whither are they turning away! 69 Those who reject the Book and the (revelations) with which We sent our messengers: but soon shall they know,- 70 When the shackles are around their necks and the chains; they will be dragged 71 and are dragged into burning despair, and in the end become fuel for the fire [of hell]. 72 Then it will be said to them, "Where is that which you used to associate [with Him in worship] 73 Beside Allah? They say: They have failed us; but we used not to pray to anything before. Thus doth Allah send astray the disbelievers (in His guidance). 74 "That was because ye were wont to rejoice on the earth in things other than the Truth, and that ye were wont to be insolent. 75 Enter the gates of Hell to stay therein forever. The abode of the arrogant is evil. 76 So be thou patient; surely God's promise is true. Whether We show thee a part of that We promise them, or We call thee unto Us, to Us they shall be returned. 77 We have told you the stories of some of Our Messengers whom We had sent before you and We have not told you the stories of some others. A Messenger is not supposed to show a miracle without the permission of God. When God's decree of punishment comes to pass, He will judge truthfully and the supporters of the falsehood will perish when God's decree of punishemnt comes to pass. 78
