3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 And We made his offspring the survivors. 77 And left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations to come in later times: 78 Peace on Noah among all men. 79 Verily, thus We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 80 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 81 Then We did drown the others. 82 ۞ AND, BEHOLD, of his persuasion was Abraham, too, 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart, 84 When he said to his father and his people: "What is this you worship? 85 Is it a falsehood - gods beside Allah - that ye desire? 86 "Then what is your idea about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 Then he glanced a glance on the stars. 88 And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill." 89 and at that they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 He then sneaked upon their deities and said, “Do you not eat?” 91 What aileth you that ye speak not? 92 Then he turned upon them, striking (them) with (his) right hand. 93 So they (people) advanced towards him, hastening. 94 He said: "Worship ye that which ye have (yourselves) carved? 95 When Allah hath created you and what ye make? 96 They said, 'Build him a building, and cast him into the furnace!' 97 And they desired a war against him, but We brought them low. 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And when he reached the age when he could work with him, he said, "O my son, I have seen in a dream that I am sacrificing you. So tell me what you think of it!" He replied, "O my father, do as you are commanded; and God willing, you will find me steadfast." 102 When both surrendered (to Allah's command) and Abraham flung the son down on his forehead, 103 We called to him, saying: 'O Abraham, 104 thou hast already fulfilled [the purpose of] that dream-vision!" Thus, verily, do We reward the doers of good: 105 Indeed, this was the clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 and perpetuated his praise in later generations. 108 Peace be with Abraham. 109 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 110 He is truly among Our faithful creatures. 111 So We gave him the good news of Isaac, apostle, who is among the righteous. 112 We had blessed him and Isaac. Some of their offspring were righteous and others were openly unjust to themselves. 113
