Friday (Al-Jumu'ah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ All that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth glorifieth Allah, the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One, the Mighty, the Wise. 1 It is He Who has sent amongst the Unlettered a messenger from among themselves, to rehearse to them His Signs, to sanctify them, and to instruct them in Scripture and Wisdom,- although they had been, before, in manifest error;- 2 And others from among them who have not yet joined them; and He is the Mighty, the Wise. 3 That is the Grace of Allah, which He bestows on whom He wills. And Allah is the Owner of Mighty Grace. 4 Those who were charged with bearing the Torah, but did not do so are like an ass carrying a load of books. How unfortunate are those who belie the sign of God. God does not guide the wrongdoers. 5 Say “O Jews! If you assume that you are Allah’s friends, others are not, then wish for death if you are truthful!” 6 But they will not wish for it, ever, because of what their hands have put forth. And Allah is Knowing of the wrongdoers. 7 Say: "Behold, the death from which you are fleeing is bound to overtake you - and then you will be brought back unto Him who knows all that is beyond the reach of a created being's perception as well as all that can be witnessed by a creature's senses or mind, whereupon He will make you truly understand all that you were doing [in life]. 8
