T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha.* (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah and to whomever He reveals know their precise meanings.) 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to thee to be (an occasion) for thy distress, 2 But only as an admonition to those who fear (Allah),- 3 A revelation from Him who created the earth and the high ascending skies, 4 The Most Merciful [who is] above the Throne established. 5 His is what is in the heavens and what is in the earth and what is between them two and what is beneath the ground. 6 Be thou loud in thy speech, yet surely He knows the secret and that yet more hidden. 7 God is the only Lord and to Him belong all the exalted Names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: 'Stay here, for I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a lighted torch or find at the fire guidance' 10 But when he came to the fire, a voice was heard: "O Moses! 11 Verily I! I am thy Lord: so take off thy shoes; verily thou art into the holy valley, Tuwa. 12 And I have chosen thee, so hearken unto that which is inspired. 13 Indeed, I am Allah. There is no god except Me. Worship Me, and establish the prayer of My remembrance. 14 Indeed, the Hour is coming - I almost conceal it - so that every soul may be recompensed according to that for which it strives. 15 "Therefore let not such as believe not therein but follow their own lusts, divert thee therefrom, lest thou perish!".. 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Musa! 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, and with it, I beat down the leaves for my flock; I also have other uses for it." 18 God said, "Moses, cast it down." 19 and he cast it down, and behold it was a serpent sliding. 20 [Allah] said, "Seize it and fear not; We will return it to its former condition. 21 And place your hand in your armpit, it will come forth shining white, without blemish. This is another Sign of Allah, 22 That We may show you of Our greater signs: 23 Go to Pharaoh, he has become insolent' 24
