Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 excusing or warning, 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 The living and the dead, 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
