The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 What could let you know what the nightly comer is! 2 The piercing star! 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 That issued from between the loins and ribs. 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 He shall have neither strength nor helper. 10 I swear by the raingiving heavens, 11 And the earth which splits (with the growth of trees and plants), 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 and it is certainly not a jest. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 And I secretly plan. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal you gently with them for a while. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
