The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the Terror descends 1 – and then there will be no one to deny its occurrence – 2 It will bring down [some] and raise up [others]. 3 When the earth is shaken violently, 4 And the hills are ground to powder 5 So that they will become floating dust particles. 6 And ye will be three kinds: 7 Companions of the Right, what are the Companions of the Right? 8 And those on the left – how (wretched) are those on the left! 9 Then the foremost, how pre-excellent, 10 These are they who are drawn nigh (to Allah), 11 In the Gardens of Pleasure, 12 A multitude from the ancients. 13 And a few of later ages, 14 (They will be) on thrones woven with gold and precious stones, 15 reclining on them, arrayed face to face; 16 immortal youths going round about them 17 with goblets, and ewers, and cups filled with water from unsullied springs 18 neither causing headaches, nor intoxication; 19 And with fruits, any that they may select: 20 and the meat of any bird that they may desire; 21 and wide-eyed houris 22 as the likeness of hidden pearls, 23 A Reward for the deeds of their past (life). 24 Therein they hear no vain or sinful discourse. 25 Nought but the saying: peace! peace! 26 As for the people of the right hand, how happy they will be! 27 [They will be] among lote trees with thorns removed 28 And plantains laden with fruit. 29 and extended shade, 30 Gushing water, 31 and an abundance of fruits, 32 unfailing, unforbidden, 33 And raised couches; 34 We have created (their Companions) of special creation. 35 And have made them virgins. 36 Loving companions matched in age, 37 For those on the right hand; 38

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
