The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal), 3 who brings forth the pastures, 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 He who fears will mind, 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
