Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Hast thou received the story of the Enveloper? 1 Some faces that Day shall be downcast with fear, 2 be toiling and worn-out; 3 roasting at a scorching Fire 4 Made to drink from a boiling spring. 5 No food shall be theirs save bitter thorn, 6 Which will neither nourish nor avail against hunger. 7 Many faces will be joyous on that day, 8 well pleased with their striving, 9 in a sublime garden, 10 wherein they shall hear no vain talk. 11 therein a running fountain, 12 Wherein are couches raised 13 Goblets placed (ready), 14 well-placed cushions, 15 And carpets spread around. 16 Then do they not look at the camels - how they are created? 17 And at the heaven, how it is raised? 18 And at the mountains, how they are rooted and fixed firm? 19 And the earth: how it was spread out? 20 Therefore advise; indeed you are a proclaimer of advice. (The Holy Prophet is a Remembrance from Allah.) 21 You are not a warden over them, 22 But if any turn away and reject Allah,- 23 Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment. 24 To Us they will all return. 25 Then, surely, it is for Us to call them to account. 26
Almighty God's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
