The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 by the promised day, 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 by a burning fire 5 when they were seated around it 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire. 10 Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph. 11 Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern. 12 Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
