And the dwellers in Al-Hijr denied (Our) messengers. 80 We showed them miracles but they ignored them. 81 They were hewing the mountains into houses, therein dwelling securely; 82 An explosion struck them in the morning. 83 and that which they had earned did not help them. 84 We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, but for just ends. And the Hour is surely coming (when this will be manifest). So overlook (any human faults) with gracious forgiveness. 85 For verily it is thy Lord who is the Master-Creator, knowing all things. 86 And assuredly We have vouchsafed unto thee seven of the repetitions and the mighty Qur'an. 87 [so] turn, not thine eyes [longingly] towards the worldly benefits which We have granted unto some of those [that deny the truth]. And neither grieve over those [who refuse to heed thee,] but spread the wings of thy tenderness over the believers, 88 And say: Lo! I, even I, am a plain warner, 89 such as We send down for those who are divisive, 90 and who have broken the Scripture into fragments -- 91 By your Lord, We will question them all 92 As to what they did. 93 Then declare what you are commanded and turn away from the polytheists. 94 We will, surely, suffice you against those who mock, 95 even against those who set up with God another god. Certainly they will soon know! 96 Indeed, We know that your breast is straitened at what they say. 97 Therefore celebrate the praise of your Lord, and be of those who make obeisance. 98 And keep worshipping your Lord, till death* comes to you. (* The certainty.) 99

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
