Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ By the Day of Resurrection, 1 But nay! I call to witness the accusing voice of man's own conscience! 2 What, does man reckon We shall not gather his bones? 3 Nay, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers. 4 Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to continue committing sins. 5 He asks: When is the day of resurrection? 6 At length, when the sight is dazed, 7 And the moon is eclipsed 8 And the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 on that Day will man say: “Whither the refuge?” 10 No! There is no refuge! 11 Unto thy Lord is the recourse that day. 12 Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back. 13 Nay, man will be evidence against himself, 14 even though he offers his excuses. 15 Do not move your tongue with it to make haste with it, 16 Surely its collection and recitation are Our responsibility. 17 And so when We recite it, follow its recitation attentively; 18 Then Ours it is to explain it. 19 Yet you love this hasty world 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 Some faces will be radiant on that Day, 22 and will be looking towards their Lord; 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 In the thought that some back-breaking calamity was about to be inflicted on them; 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 and when it is asked: "Could any magician save him now?"; 27 And he is sure that it is the (hour of) parting 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 upon that day unto thy Lord shall be the driving. 30
