The folk of Lot denied the messengers (of Allah), 160 when their brother Lot said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 161 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 162 so fear you God, and obey you me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 164 Why do you go for males unlike all other creatures 165 instead of your wives, whom your Lord has created specially for you? You are a transgressing people." 166 They said: "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will be expelled (from the city)." 167 He said: 'Truly, I am a detester of what you do' 168 My Lord! deliver me and my household from that which they work. 169 So We delivered him and his household all. 170 except an old woman who remained behind. 171 and then We utterly destroyed the others, 172 We rained upon them a rain, and evil is the rain (of stones) on those that are warned. 173 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not Muslims. 174 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 175
