The Comet (Al-Taareq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the sky and the night comer - 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 It is the shining star -- 3 There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 he has been created out of a seminal fluid 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 on the Day when consciences are examined, 9 he will have no power, nor anyone to help him. 10 By the sky which returns [rain] 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 surely it is a decisive word; 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 and so am I: 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
