The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven with its impregnable castles; 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 THEY DESTROY [but] themselves, they who would ready a pit 4 by a burning fire 5 Behold! they sat over against the (fire), 6 witnessing what they were doing. 7 And what did they dislike from the Muslims, except that the Muslims accepted faith in Allah the Most Honourable, the Most Praiseworthy? 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness, 14 Honorable Owner of the Throne, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Has there reached you the story of the soldiers - 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth persist in giving it the lie: 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 In fact it (what they deny) is the Noble Qur’an. 21 In a guarded tablet. 22
