The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended; 4 when the savage beasts are gathered 5 When the oceans boil over with a swell; 6 and when all human beings are coupled [with their deeds,] 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 when the records of men's deeds are laid open, 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 and when the blazing fire [of hell] is kindled bright, 12 And when the garden is brought nigh, 13 Every soul shall (then) know what it has prepared. 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 And by the night when it departeth, 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 Truly, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 19 Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, 20 obeyed, and honest. 21 For, this fellow-man of yours is not a madman: 22 And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east). 23 And he is of the unseen not a tenacious concealer. 24 This is not the utterance of an accursed devil. 25 So where are you going? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 (With profit) to whoever among you wills to go straight: 28 But you cannot will it unless God, the Lord of the Universe, so wills it [to show you that way]. 29
Almighty God's Truth.
