So also was Jonah among those sent (by Us). 139 Recall what time he ran away unto a laden ship. 140 And he drew lots and was among the losers. 141 So the whale swallowed him, for he was blameworthy, 142 But had it not been that he was of those who glorify (Us), 143 he would have lingered in its belly till the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ We cast him out of the fish unto dry land and he was sick. 145 and We caused a gourd tree to grow over him. 146 Then We sent him unto a hundred thousand, or more, 147 and they believed, and We gave them enjoyment for awhile. 148 So ask their opinion: “(Are you convinced) that your Lord should have daughters and you should have sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Lo! verily it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 God hath begotten. Verily they are the liars. 152 "He has chosen daughters in preference to sons"! 153 What is amiss with you and your judgment? 154 Why do you not reflect? 155 Or is there for you a plain authority? 156 Then produce your scriptures, if you are telling the truth. 157 And they have invented a kinship between Him and the jinns, but the jinns know well that they have indeed to appear (before Him) (i.e. they will be brought for accounts). 158 (They say): “Exalted be Allah above what they attribute to Him, 159 Except His chosen creatures who do not. 160 Wherefore verily neither ye nor that which ye worship, 161 Can lead (any) into temptation concerning Allah, 162 except him who shall roast in the Blazing Fire. 163 "There is not one of us who does not have his appointed place," (declare the angels.) 164 And verily we! we are ranged in ranks. 165 And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah." 166 And indeed the disbelievers used to say, 167 “If we had some advice from the earlier generations,” 168 We would have been the chosen creatures of God." 169 But they disbelieve in it (the Koran), but soon they shall know! 170 for, long ago has Our word gone forth unto Our servants, the message-bearers, 171 That they verily would be helped, 172 And that Our hosts, they verily would be the victors. 173 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad) awhile, 174 And watch them and they shall see (the punishment)! 175 Our torment seek they to hasten on! 176 When it descends into their courtyard, it will be terrible for those who have already been warned. 177 And turn thou aside from them for a season. 178 and see [them for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 179 Exalted be your Lord, the Lord of Glory, above what they attribute to Him, 180 Peace be upon the Messengers 181 And all the praise and thanks be to Allah, Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. (5) وقف المجاذبة أو المعانقة حيث يجب الوقف في أي من موضعين قريبين ولكن ليس كلاهما، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة تظهر في أحد الموقعين باحتمال النصف للنصف.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
