The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 And by the Day promised, 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 the makers of the fuel-stoked fire! 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. God is witness over all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 – the Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 Who does as He pleases. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
