It is He who sends down water from heaven, which provides drink for you and brings forth trees on which your herds feed. 10 and by virtue of which He causes crops and olives and date-palms and grapes and all kinds of fruit to grow for you. Surely in this there is a great Sign for those who reflect. 11 And He hath constrained the night and the day and the sun and the moon to be of service unto you, and the stars are made subservient by His command. Lo! herein indeed are portents for people who have sense. 12 And [He has subjected] whatever He multiplied for you on the earth of varying colors. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who remember. 13 And He it is Who hath constrained the sea to be of service that ye eat fresh meat from thence, and bring forth from thence ornaments which ye wear. And thou seest the ships ploughing it that ye (mankind) may seek of His bounty and that haply ye may give thanks. 14 And He has affixed into the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you, and rivers and roads, that you may guide yourselves. 15 And landmarks (signposts, etc. during the day) and by the stars (during the night), they (mankind) guide themselves. 16 Is the One who can create equal to the one who cannot create anything? Why, then, will you not consider? 17 If you count the favors of Allah, you could not number them. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and the Most Merciful. 18 And Allah knows what you conceal and what you disclose. 19 But those whom you invoke, other than Allah do not create anything they are themselves created. 20 They are dead, not living; nor do they know when they will be raised to life. 21
