Evidence (of the truth) for them is how We revived the dead earth 33 and We made therein gardens of palms and vines, and therein We caused fountains to gush forth, 34 so that they may eat of the fruit thereof, though it was not their hands that made it. Will they not, then, be grateful? 35 Glory be to Him, who created all the pairs of what the earth produces, and of themselves, and of what they know not. 36 They have a sign in the night: We withdraw from it the [light of] day -- and they are left in darkness. 37 The sun is running its course to its appointed place. That is the ordaining of the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing. 38 We have determined the stations of the moon, so that (after its wanderings) it returns as a dried up inflorescent spike of dates. 39 It behoves not the sun to overtake the moon, neither does the night outstrip the day, each swimming in a sky. 40 And a sign unto them is that We bear their offspring in a laden ship. 41 and created for them similar things to ride. 42 And if We please, We can drown them, then there shall be no succorer for them, nor shall they be rescued 43 Except as a mercy from Us and provision for a time. 44 And when it is said to them, “Beware of what is before you and what is behind you, in the hope of your gaining mercy”, they turn away! 45 And not a sign cometh unto them of the signs of their Lord, but they are ever backsliders therefrom. 46 And when they are told, "Spend ye of (the bounties) with which Allah has provided you," the Unbelievers say to those who believe: "Shall we then feed those whom, if Allah had so willed, He would have fed, (Himself)? Ye are in nothing but manifest error." 47 And they say: when will this promise be fulfilled if ye say sooth? 48 They are awaiting only for one Cry to seize them while they are yet disputing, 49 then they will not be able to make any testament, nor will they return to their people. 50
