Say: "Who could protect you, by night or by day, from the Most Gracious?" And yet, from a remembrance of their Sustainer do they stubbornly turn away! 42 Do they have some Gods who protect them from Us? Neither can they save themselves nor save their friends from Us. 43 We allowed them and their fathers time to enjoy till the very end of their lives. Do they not see Us advancing into the land, reducing its frontiers? Would they still prevail? 44 Say: "I am warning you by God's command." But the deaf do not hear the call when they are warned. 45 And if a breath (minor calamity) of the Torment of your Lord touches them, they will surely cry: "Woe unto us! Indeed we have been Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.). 46 And We set a just balance for the Day of Resurrection so that no soul is wronged in aught. Though it be of the weight of a grain of mustard seed, We bring it. And We suffice for reckoners. 47 We gave Moses and Aaron the Salvation and a Radiance, and a Remembrance for the godfearing 48 Who are fearful of their Lord inwardly and dread the Hour. 49 This (Quran) which We have revealed is a blessed reminder. Will you then deny it? 50
