Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ By the Day of Resurrection, 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching soul. 2 Do men think that We shall never be able to assemble their bones? 3 Surely We are able to reform even his finger-tips. 4 Nay! man desires to give the lie to what is before him. 5 He asks: When is the day of resurrection? 6 but when the sight is dazed 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 On that Day shall man say: whither is the fleeing. 10 By no means! No place of safety! 11 Unto thy Lord is the recourse that day. 12 On that Day, man will be told of all that he has sent before and what he has left behind. 13 Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness, 14 And even if he presents all the excuses he has, none will be listened to. 15 Move not thy tongue concerning the (Qur'an) to make haste therewith. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation (by Us). 18 and then, behold, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 None except you, O disbelievers – you love what you have, the fleeting one. 20 And you have forsaken the Hereafter. 21 Countenances on that Day shall be resplendent, 22 Looking towards their Lord; 23 And some faces, that Day, will be sad and dismal, 24 believing that a crushing calamity is about to strike them. 25 Yes indeed, when the soul will reach up to the throat. 26 and it is said, 'Who is an enchanter?' 27 and he knows that it is the time of parting; 28 And one shank is entangled with the other shank. 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30
