The people of al-Hijr also rejected Our messengers: 80 And We gave them Our signs, but from them they were turning away. 81 And they used to hew out dwellings from the hills, (wherein they dwelt) secure. 82 But the shriek seized them at early morning. 83 And all that they had done (for security) availed them nothing. 84 We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them save with truth, and lo! the Hour is surely coming. So forgive, (O Muhammad), with a gracious forgiveness. 85 Indeed, your Lord - He is the Knowing Creator. 86 And certainly We have given you seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the grand Quran. 87 Do not stretch your eyes to that We have given pairs of them to enjoy, nor sorrow for them, and lower your wing to the believers. 88 And say: Surely I am the plain warner. 89 (We have given you the Quran) as We had given (the Bible) to those who divided themselves into groups 90 who have broken the Koran into parts, 91 So by your Lord, We will surely question them all 92 for whatever they have done! 93 (O Prophet), proclaim what you are commanded, and pay no heed to those who associate others with Allah in His Divinity. 94 We are surely sufficient to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 Who set up along with Allah another god; presently they shall know. 96 We do indeed know how thy heart is distressed at what they say. 97 So hallow thou the praise of thy Lord, and be thou of the prostrate. 98 Worship your Lord until you achieve the ultimate certainty. 99
