Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 and by the calm of night, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And He found you unaware (of the Quran, its legal laws, and Prophethood, etc.) and guided you? 7 Did He not find thee destitute and enrich (thee)? 8 Therefore, as for the orphan, do not oppress (him). 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
