The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
I CALL TO witness the heavens and the night Star -- 1 what do you know what the night-visitor is? 2 It is the piercing star - 3 There is no human being but has a protector over him (or her) (i.e. angels incharge of each human being guarding him, writing his good and bad deeds, etc.) 4 So let man consider of what he is created: 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Indeed Allah is Able to return him. 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 Then man will have no power or any helper. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 Lo! this (Qur'an) is a conclusive word, 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 but I shall bring all their scheming to nought. 16 So bear with unbelievers with patience, and give them respite for a while. 17
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
