The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO witness those who stand arrayed in rows, 1 and restraining [from evil] by a call to restraint, 2 And by oath of the groups that read the Qur’an. 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth, and all that is between them, and Lord of every point of the sun's risings. (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah). 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 to protect them from the rebellious satan. 7 The devils cannot hear those high above. They would be struck from all sides 8 rejected, and theirs is an everlasting chastisement, 9 Except him who snatcheth away a word by stealth, and him then pursueth a glowing flame. 10 Ask them thou: are they stronger in structure or those others whom We have created? Verily We! We have created them of a sticky clay. 11 Truly dost thou marvel, while they ridicule, 12 And heed not when they are reminded, 13 And when they see an Ayah (a sign, a proof, or an evidence) from Allah, they mock at it. 14 And they say, “This is nothing but clear magic.” 15 When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? 16 “And also our forefathers?” 17 Say (O Muhammad): Ye, in truth; and ye will be brought low. 18 So that is just a single jolt, thereupon they will begin staring. 19 and will say: "Oh, woe unto us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 This is the Day of Separation, which ye used to deny. 21
