In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Ta, Ha. 1 We have not sent down to you the Qur'an that you be distressed 2 But only as an admonition unto him who feareth. 3 Sent down by One Who created the earth and the lofty heavens. 4 the All Merciful settled on the throne. 5 His is whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever on the earth and whatsoever is in between and whatsoever is underneath the earth. 6 Whether you say a thing aloud or inaudibly, He has knowledge of the secret and the hidden. 7 Allah-- there is no god but He; His are the very best names. 8 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses? 9 Lo! he saw a fire [in the desert]; and so he said to his family: "Wait here! Behold, I perceive a fire [far away]: perhaps I can bring you a brand there from, or find at the fire some guidance." 10 When he reached it, he was called: 'O Moses, 11 I am your Lord! Take off your sandals, for you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 "And I have chosen you. So listen to that which is inspired to you. 13 Verily I am Allah. There is no god beside Me. So serve Me and establish Prayers to remember Me. 14 The Hour is coming. I almost conceal it, so that every soul will be recompensed for its labors. 15 Do not let those who disbelieve in it and follow their desires bar you from it, or you will perish. 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Moses? 17 'Why, it is my staff,' said Moses. 'I lean upon it, and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep; other uses also I find in it. 18 "Throw it down, O Moses," said (the Voice). 19 So he threw it down, and thereupon it was a snake, moving swiftly. 20 (Allah) said, "Seize it, and fear not: We shall return it at once to its former condition".. 21 "Now place thy hand within thy armpit: it will come forth [shining] white, without blemish, as another sign [of Our grace,] 22 That We may go on showing you Our greater signs. 23 "Go thou to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds." 24

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
