54 verses, revealed in Mecca after Forgiver (Ghaafer) before Consultation (Al-Shooraa)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Ha Mim! 1 A sending down from the Merciful, the Compassionate. 2 A Book, the verses of which are distinguished, an Arabic Koran for a nation who know. 3 A bearer of glad tidings and a warner. Yet most of them turn aside, so that they hearken not. 4 And they say, "Our hearts are within coverings from that to which you invite us, and in our ears is deafness, and between us and you is a partition, so work; indeed, we are working." 5 Say, "I am only a human being like yourselves. It has been revealed to me that your God is One God. So take the straight path to Him and ask His forgiveness." Woe to those who associate others with Him, 6 Those who practise not regular Charity, and who even deny the Hereafter. 7 The righteously striving believers will have a never-ending reward". 8
