And those who disbelieve say: when we have become dust, we and our fathers, shall we, for sooth, be brought forth? 67 "Indeed we were promised this, we and our forefathers before, Verily, these are nothing but tales of ancients." 68 Say: "Go all over the earth and behold what happened in the end to those [who were thus] lost in sin!" 69 And grieve not over them or be in distress from what they conspire. 70 And they say: when will this Promise be fufilled if ye say sooth? 71 Say: "Perhaps that which you wish to hasten on, may be close behind you. 72 And verily thine Lord is full of grace for mankind, but most of them give not thanks. 73 Your Lord certainly knows whatever their hearts conceal or reveal. 74 And there is nothing hidden in the heaven and the earth, but is in a Clear Book (i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 75 BEHOLD, this Qur'an explains to the children of Israel most [of that] whereon they hold divergent views; 76 It is a guidance and a mercy to believers. 77 Surely, by His Judgement, your Lord will decide between them. He is the Mighty, the Knower. 78 So put thy trust in God; thou art upon the manifest truth. 79 You cannot make the dead listen and the deaf are unable to hear calls. Thus, they turn back on their heels. 80 nor can you direct the blind to the Right Way, preventing them from falling into error. You can make only those who believe in Our verses to hear the call and then submit. 81 ۞ And when the Word (promise) appears upon them, We shall bring forth for them a beast from the earth to speak to them – because the people were not accepting faith in Our signs. (This beast will rise from the earth, when the Last Day draws near.) 82
