1/2 Hizb 45

۞ But We shall say, "Assemble those who did wrong together with their associates and what they worshipped 22 Instead of Allah, and lead them to the path to hell; 23 and detain them there; they will be called to account. 24 How is it that you are not helping one another? 25 Nay, but that Day they shall surrender, 26 And some of them inclined towards others, mutually questioning. 27 Some [of them] will say: "Behold, you were wont to approach us [deceptively] from the right!" 28 They will say, "No! It was you who would not believe -- 29 We had no authority over you, but you were an insolent nation. 30 Thus, the words of Our Lord about us have come true and now we are suffering the torment. 31 we perverted you, indeed, we were perverts' 32 So they shall on that day be sharers in the chastisement one with another. 33 Surely thus do We deal with the guilty. 34 For when it was said to them: 'There is no god except Allah' they were always proud 35 And to say: What! shall we indeed give up our gods for the sake of a mad poet? 36 Not in the least. He has brought the truth and confirmed the other messengers. 37 Indeed, you [disbelievers] will be tasters of the painful punishment, 38 although you shall not be requited for aught but what you were wont to do. 39 But the sincere servants of God 40 shall have a known provision -- 41 Fruits; and they will be honoured. 42 In Gardens of Delight. 43 Facing one another on thrones, 44 They will be served with a cup full of crystal clear wine, 45 white, a delight to the drinkers, 46 Neither dulling the senses nor intoxicating, 47 With them will be spouses, modest of gaze and beautiful of eye, 48 As though they were eggs hidden. 49 Then they will turn to one another, mutually questioning. 50 One of them will say: “I had a companion in the world 51 Who used to say: Art thou in truth of those who put faith (in his words)? 52 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then be certainly brought to judgment? 53 He will say, "Would you [care to] look?" 54 Then, he will look and see him in the midst of Hell. 55 and says: "By God! Verily, thou hast almost destroyed me [too, O my erstwhile companion] 56 But for the Favor of Allah I should have surely been among those who were arraigned (with you in Hell). 57 Are we not then to die 58 Other than our first death, and we shall not be punished? 59 Truly, this is the supreme success! 60 For the like of this let the workers [on earth] work. 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of AzZakkum! 62 We have made this tree a trial for the wrong-doers. 63 It is a tree that comes forth in the root of Hell; 64 The fruit thereof is as though the hoods of the serpents. 65 They will eat and fill their bellies with it, 66 Then on top of it they will have a brew of boiling water. 67 Then their return will be to the same blazing Hell. 68 Surely they found their fathers going astray, 69 So they (too) were rushed down on their footsteps! 70 So had many an earlier people gone astray, 71 And certainly We sent among them warners. 72 Then look how was the end of those who were warned - 73 Only Our sincere servants were saved. 74
