Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 Honorable recorders, 11 Who know what you do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
