It is He who sends down to you out of heaven water of which you have to drink, and of which trees, for you to pasture your herds, 10 And with it He grows for you corn, and the olive and the date-palm and the grape, and all kinds of fruits. Surely, in that is a sign for a people who reflect. 11 And He hath subjected for you the night and the day and the sun and the moon, and the stars are subjected by His command. Verily therein are signs for a people who understand. 12 And that which He has multiplied for you in the earth of diverse hues. Surely in that is a sign for a people who remember. 13 And it is He Who subjected the sea for you, so you eat fresh meat from it, and extract ornaments from it which you wear; and you see ships ploughing through it and in order that you may seek His munificence and that you may give thanks. 14 And He has set up on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you; and rivers and roads; that ye may guide yourselves; 15 And landmarks; and by the stars they find the right way. 16 Is there one who createth like unto one who createth not? Will ye not then be admonished? 17 If you tried to count God's blessings, you would never be able to number them. God is ever forgiving and most merciful. 18 Allah has knowledge of all that you hide and all that you reveal. 19 Those whom they (Al-Mushrikun) invoke besides Allah have not created anything, but are themselves created. 20 Dead (are they), not living, and they know not when they shall be raised. 21
